jack's v-day goodies

valentine's day card & mix cd for jack.

let's just say that we both love "smallville," and this scene in particular.
collage & fancy-ass scrapbooking store ribbon, label strip.

it's a line from that scene. :) & the image at the bottom's from that same episode. hey, it's valentine's-day-appropriate.

front of the CD. sometimes you meet someone in life who actually LIKED that stupid animal cracker scene in Armageddon -- actually, wait, jack is the only person i've ever met who likes that scene. so of course, what automatically goes on a cheesy mix cd? screencap. (+ collage + typewriter) & because you can't really read it, it's called "jack's animal cracker mix." yeah. i'm going to repress this, maybe.

inside CD, with track listing folded up on inside cover.

fold-out track listing (double-sided paper + typewriter). the tracks alternate between cheesy jack-style songs from the oc & smallville, and songs i'm more apt to be listening to. here it is:

how fucking romantic - the magnetic fields
save me - remy zero
cupid - jack johnson
breathe you - stabbing westward
soul meets body - death cab
you're so damn hot - ok go
breathe me - sia
everything - lifehouse
you're the good things - modest mouse
wherever you will go - the calling
the book of love - the magnetic fields
i miss you - incubus
all mine - portishead
stop crying your heart out - oasis
between the bars - elliott smith
goodnight and go - imogen heap
such great heights - iron & wine
hello sunshine - super furry animals
oh my god - pink & peaches
i don't want to miss a thing - aerosmith

that last track... yes, i burned that to a cd. sigh. get the joke? just ignore it?

the whole package before i bagged it up. no, i will not explain the other object in this photo and please stop imagining. heh.

A NOTE ON MIX CDs:
I know a lot of people who think mix cds are meaningless next to mix tapes, because they take less time or effort to make or something. well, I may not be switching CDs out of a tape deck (and I can't, actually, because the CD part of my tape deck broke), but I take hours and HOURS to make these mix CDs. So. Now you know. Hours of thought and effort and love go into them. So don't dis.
